I wanted a new desktop background that spanned my monitors. I plan to do a much improved model of the exterior at some point so I didn't want to go too crazy with this but my existing model was set to use Mental Ray and I have since moved on to Vray and wanted to use that. The existing textures can be much improved and it would have taken a lot of time to try to reuse them so instead I set things up so that I could texture in Substance Painter. Since I plan to remake the exterior as part of all the other Serenity stuff I'm doing I didn't want to spend too much time on this since it's just for this render for the most part.
The full burn effect in the back is done using Phoenix FD; that's a tool I don't have much experience with but I think it turned out pretty well.
